Decoration of the Church

Pilgrimage (to Venice and starting in Venice and going to Jerusalem) was very important. The Church was a place for the confraternity to worship as well as a place for pilgrims to pray to Saint Roch. Tintoretto executed the paintings in the church as well: four large paintings illustrate events in Saint Roch's life. This is one of them, depicting Saint Roch healing the sick.
